Barberville Yard Art Emporium is a Central Florida landmark — just an hour north of Orlando, 30 minutes west of Daytona Beach, and a few miles from the Ocala National Forest.

Our three-acre emporium is best experienced in person. With thousands of handmade pieces, our ever-changing collection is nearly impossible to showcase online...but you can catch our bestsellers in the new webstore!

Located in the charming town of Barberville, FL, we offer more than just yard decor. Here you will find recycled cast aluminum statues, all custom-painted on site! We also carry a constantly changing variety of concrete statuary, unique mailboxes, reclaimed Teakwood furniture, hand-carved wooden pieces, fountains, pottery, and fun souvenirs — all chosen to spark joy and add character to your space.

Behind the Magic

As the business owner, people often ask me [Carlos] how a quirky little place like Barberville Yard Art Emporium came to be. The short answer? Creativity, a leap of faith, and a love for the wildly unexpected.

It all began back in 1990.
David Biggers, the original owner, set up shop as Barberville Produce — a roadside stand offering fresh fruit, boiled peanuts, and a few fun yard pieces on the side. For two decades, travelers would pull over for a snack... and maybe leave with a concrete gnome.

When I took over in 2010, I saw something more — a place brimming with potential. The old sign read “FREE SAMPLES,” but I wasn’t here to hand out peanuts... I wanted to create an experience. A wonderland of color, craftsmanship, and conversation-starting yard art.

Then a hurricane swept through and took that sign with it. A sign, perhaps, of something bigger.

From the ashes of produce and peanuts rose something new:

Barberville – because it is in this sweet Florida town where it all began.
Yard Art – because bright, joyful, one-of-a-kind outdoor art became our heart and soul.
Emporium – because this is no ordinary shop. It’s a treasure trove of the unexpected.

What started as a handful of statues has now become a sprawling, ever-changing collection of handmade wonders: giant metal roosters, hand-carved benches, custom fountains, vibrant pottery, whimsical surprises tucked into every corner — and always, something you’ve never seen before.

Coming from a completely different career, I had to learn fast. The biggest lesson? People don’t come here looking for what they need. They come for something they didn’t even know they wanted. That’s where the real magic lives.

Every piece we display — and yes, we do sell everything you see — is chosen or created to bring joy, spark a memory, or simply make you smile. Whether you’re a first-time visitor, a curious tourist, or a designer on the hunt for the perfect piece, there’s something here that’ll speak to you.
