CARE & UPKEEP

🖌️ Caring for Your Hand-Painted Aluminum Art

Keep it beautiful. Keep it protected.

Your custom hand-painted aluminum art is built to last, sealed with a high quality automotive clear coat, and with a little care, will stay vibrant and eye-catching for years to come.

  • Wash with water and wax ta few times per year to remove dirt and debris

      • If you choose to use soap, be sure to use car wash soap and avoid kitchen detergents.

      •  Finish up by spraying with car wax. Many waxes can be sprayed on while your piece is still wet with no drying or buffing required (and no chalky residue!)

Live near the ocean? Do it more often to guard against salt and moisture.

2. Use Car Soap — Not Dish Soap

Avoid kitchen soaps — they strip away protective coatings.

3. Remove Mildew if Needed
Use a 50/50 diluted chlorine solution to spot-clean mildew.
Rinse thoroughly before waxing.

4. Try Wet-Apply Spray Waxes
Many waxes can be sprayed on while your piece is still wet after washing —
No drying or buffing required and no chalky residue.

⭐ Recommended Spray Wax Brands

  • Turtle Wax

  • Lucas Oil

  • Meguiar’s

Available at most auto parts stores or online.

With just a few minutes of care a couple times a year, your art will keep turning heads and brightening your space for years to come!

Simply wash and wax them periodically, twice a year at least,  and more frequently when close to the ocean.

Using kitchen soap removes existing wax, so car soap is recommended.

Only if necessary to remove mildew, use diluted chlorine (50/50) and rinse well before applying the wax. Don’t need to let dry in the case of wet waxes.

There are many waxes in the market that can easily be sprayed, even while wet after you wash your item, and don’t need to be buffed.

These are some manufacturers that produce quality, wet waxes that won’t leave white residue, available at any auto parts store or online.
